About Denise

I have always been interested in the alternative; drawn to the unconventional. The path less taken. Even a little different. Just ask my oldest sister, who was more of a mother to me than a sister and played a huge role in raising me. 

I’ve had the great fortune of raising my own five children and the joy of being blessed with 10 beautiful grandchildren. 

My professional career spanned from the corporate world to the non-profit sector. 

I spent many years in computer security and then the gaming industry. I found this work interesting but not soul fulfilling. Eventually I transitioned to the world of non profit, where I found more purpose and fulfillment. I was contributing to making a small impact for good in people’s lives, and I continued in this work until I retired in 2012.  My retirement was somewhat forced due to chronic autoimmune disease.

Without resolution and after seeing many specialists and trying a variety of medications, I felt completely broken and desperate. Then fate smiled on me one day in 2014. I was blessed in finding functional medicine and a wonderful, caring practitioner who helped me find a path not only to wellness physically, but also mentally and spiritually. 

As the years progressed, I found what I call my Universal Source beliefs system.  A sustaining force energy that helps guide my purpose. Additionally, Ayurveda, Acupuncture, Meditation, Reiki, Yoga, Massage and Earthing. All of these modalities help me stay centered and whole. Yet, I had not found my soul purpose.  The work that you know is what you are supposed to be doing. It seeps into you like a sponge soaks up water and fills you completely. 

Then, in 2016, I was introduced to Himalayan Singing Bowls during a yoga class. The practitioner offered us a group session. The moment she invited the first bowl, and the sound filled the room, I, too, was filled. It was stunning and glorious! 

Subsequently, this beautiful soul took me under her wing and guided me to the bowls, school, and master instructor I needed in order to study and fulfill my calling with the bowls. At every step, “earth angels” have been guided to my path — offering me their assistance and contributing their time and knowledge to help me realize what is now Rooted Echoes Himalayan Bowl Sound Therapy. 

This is a practice I cherish reverently and offer in service to you. 

I truly believe that the practice of vibrational therapy is an art. With Himalayan bowls as the medium, I offer healing, connection, and relaxation through sound. As I continue to learn and grow in this art, my hope is to gather strength from the ancestral Roots of those who have come before me, and impart the Echoes of their knowledge and wisdom to all who seek my services.
